Needless to say, but I’ll say it anyway, ’cause I love to talk (I can imagine some who know me too well rolling their eyes right now, makes me smile, back to my point) I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT THE CHANGES GOD IS BRINGING!!!

Hello to all,
Lots of changes are happening in our lives, huge changes, but for the sake of you all I will divide it into two letters and send the next one in a few weeks. Needless to say, but I’ll say it anyway, ’cause I love to talk (I can imagine some who know me too well rolling their eyes right now, makes me smile, back to my point) I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT THE CHANGES GOD IS BRINGING!!!10635789_10154583699360427_7297592881212091698_n

The Lord has continued to bless us in our work here in Palacios. We are reminded every day of how He knows of our needs and provides for them. The school is running very well and thanks to the support of the parents we are getting the necessary paperwork completed and turned in so that the school can be legalized. Through this process we have seen again how God can use unexpected hardships to encourage and grow us. Throughout the years of working with the school down here it has always been a struggle to get the parents motivated and involved, but as we go through the process of legalizing the school again we have been moved by the parents’ support and encouragement to us and their willingness to help in any way they can.

We have also been humbled and are extremely grateful for the love, concern, and support people have shown us as we found out recently, when Rebecca came into the city for her bi-monthly Doctors appointment, that there are some complications with Rebecca’s pregnancy that concerned the Dr. And although the baby is doing well now (Praise the Lord!) the Dr. asked that she stay in the city so that he can perform weekly ultra-sounds in order to keep track of the baby’s growth. As you all can imagine, having her stay in the city is hard on us both, but we have been moved by how much people have gone out of their way to help us. First, my brother Stephen has put everything he was doing on hold in order to come down and help in the school so that I could be able to take trips into the city to see Rebecca and make sure she is doing alright. And also Rebecca’s sister, Laura, and her husband, Kevin, tracked down some friends of theirs that have a house here in the city and who were willing to let Rebecca stay in it as long as she needs even though they have never even met us before.

Those are just two examples but so many people have been helping us in so many ways and we are so grateful for their love and support. Please continue to pray for Rebecca and the baby as she stays in the city and please pray for me here at the mission as I work not only to complete the work here but as I do my best to trust that everything is in God’s hands and, even though I can’t be in the city to care for Rebecca myself, know that He cares for her and the baby more than I ever possibly could. It’s one of the hardest tests of life to surrender the things you love most to God’s hands, honestly I hate and love the opportunity to learn to trust Him more. I’m learning to count it all joy. (James 1)

Again, thank you all for your prayers and support. You are such a blessing and encouragement to us. God bless you.
